President of the Jury in Kaliningrad Professor Martin Jean (the USA) who was select by Trustee Counsel (Professor Arvid Gust can not come because of health problems) announced the results at night after the final, third round.
1st prize and title of Laureate: Ikuyo Mikami (Japan)
2nd prize and title of Laureate: Lukas Euler (German)
3rd prize and title of Laureate: Antonio Di Dedda (Italy) and Maria Lebedeva (Russia)
Special prize For Best Interpretation of Mikael Tariverdiev works: Ikuyo Mikami (Japan)
Diploma and Awardee title: Vladimir Skomorokhov (Russia)

10 of them had advanced to the second round. They are organists from Germany, Russia, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Japan, and Korea:

13 organists from the different places of the USA, Austria, Uzbekistan, Romania, South Korea and Japan took part in the North-American Round of the 9th Mikael Tariverdiev Competition. Six of them passed the the second round and will perform in Kaliningrad: Yoomi Chang, Jinhee Kim, Olga Lebedeva
