The Mikael Tariverdiev Organ Competition is the first and the only international organ competition held in Russia. From 1999 onwards this international event is held in Kaliningrad once every two years.

The 14th Mikael Tariverdiev International Organ Competition shall be held in
Hamburg, Germany — April, 28 - May,1 2025, on-line
New Haven, Connecticut, USA — May, 5-10, 2025, live
Seoul, South Korea — May 15-17, 2025, live
Moscow, Russia — August 28–31, 2025, live
Thereafter, the selected contestants move to Kaliningrad to participate in the second and third rounds (Kaliningrad, Russia — September 3–9, 2025).live

In 2023, all the first (qualifying) rounds of the competition, except for the Moscow round, will be held in the format of video recordings. After submitting an application, participants will need to make video-recordings of the 1-st round of the competition program and send them to the organizing committee until April 24 inclusive (Yale and Hamburg) and until May 20 inclusive (Beijing). more >

The auditions for the European leg of the competition will be held at Hamburg’s St. Michael’s Church on 15th, 16th, and 17th May (admission is free). September, 8 a press conference on the results of the 10th Mikael Tariverdiev International Organ Competition was held in the Kaliningrad Cathedral. The competition’s award and closing ceremony, with a concert by the awardees, were held at the Cathedral, on 8th September. Representatives of leading Russian and international concert venues were awarding the prizes to the winners. more >

The 10th Mikael Tariverdiev International Organ Competition started in Hamburg on 26th April 2017. This year, 26 people had applied for the competition, and 19 had been entered. The results of the competition’s European round were announced at St Michael’s church on 28th April. In 2014, the Organ+ festival will be held between 10 and 18 October. Commencing its opening ceremony, on 10 October at the Tramway Depot #1, will be a concert by the famous Lithuanian band Subtilu-Z. The VII Mikael Tariverdiev organ competition is over. The winners were awarded in Kaliningrad Cathedral on September, 11. In the competition 48 organists from 26 countries took part. 19 of them who were chosen in selection rounds in Kansas, Hamburg, Moscow and Astana played in Kaliningrad Philharmonic Society Concert Hall.
